Our Virginia Projects were thrilled to receive grant support from the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources this season! Because of their generosity, we were able to introduce fly fishing, teach our conservation initiative, and make the outdoors more accessible for over 20 children in foster care!
TMP’s goals align with DWR’s mission of connecting youth to the outdoors, creating awareness and interest in an outdoor activity, and providing a first-time experience of that activity. Because of their care for not only Virginia’s wildlife, but also introducing the next generation to the great outdoors, we were able to gift all participants with a brand new fly rod and fly fishing gear to keep. Mentees were able to experience fly fishing from boats, enjoy local ponds and lakes, and spend quality time with their mentors.
Huge thank you the Virginia DWR for their support this season!!!!
