The outdoors have always been a form of therapy for me, and I hope to share that with our next generation. As a previous mentor in MFP, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing these kids take a love for fly fishing and continue to pursue it on their own.

Chuck Storey, Lead Mentor
Klamath Falls, Oregon
Growing up in Connecticut, Chuck gained a strong passion for fishing at a young age, even if it meant waking his dad up at 4:00am on a Saturday to go drill holes in a frozen lake.
He began teaching himself fly fishing at the age of 13. After a brief stint in the corporate world, he entered the professional guiding industry in 2016.
He now owns and operates an outfitter in Klamath Falls, Oregon and hosts trips to Alaska. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, backcountry skiing, waterfowl hunting, and backpacking.
Chuck sees guiding as more than just a job, but as a purpose. Guiding allows him to use his skills and passion to improve the lives of others, which led him to starting the Klamath Falls chapter of the Mayfly Project.

Being involved in outdoor activities has always been such a relaxing and rewarding experience for me. I want to help kids get outside more and share that love for the outdoors with them, in hopes of them finding love for it too!

Raised in southern Oregon (rogue valley) I have been fly fishing for almost twenty years. I spend a lot of time fishing for steelhead with classic flies, but I have spent quite a bit of time around Klamath and farther East for trout in the summers. I am a self employed historic hardscaping contractor specializing in rock work and metal fabrication. My son is almost three and loves to go fishing and riding his bicycle.
