This Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, The Mayfly Project is rallying our community to raise $10,000 to support youth in foster care through the healing power of fly fishing. We believe that every child deserves meaningful outdoor experiences—places where they can find mental rest, learn how to explore nature with safe mentors, and discover a hobby that helps them grow while building the confidence to face the difficult parts of life in foster care.
Since The Mayfly Project began, our mentors have supported over 2,000 youth in foster care! Each project location provides our mentees:

A safe, supportive mentor who shows up just for them

5 mentoring sessions in a group dynamic

Fishing multiple places in their community

Hands-on conservation lessons and activities

Participation achievement buttons

Brand new fly fishing gear at our last outing to keep
