HOLDEN ASMUS
Hampton, Iowa
Holden grew up in a small agricultural town in North Central Iowa. He has followed his career in Agriculture, and still lives in his home state. His love for fly fishing grew with trips to Montana with his father and grandfather. Now, he fly fishes all over the Midwest for anything from trout to muskies. He is very excited to spread the joy of fly fishing as the Lead Mentor for the Iowa Mayfly Project!

CHRISTIAN MIRANDA, MENTOR
Chicago, Illinois
Growing up in Connecticut, Christian didn’t start fishing until high school, but he caught the bug. Only 13 minutes from great fishing on the Farmington River, he went any time he could. After graduating college in Ohio, he returned to Connecticut to teach at a private boarding middle school. Luckily, it was on 148 acres with plenty of streams to fish. Now, living in Chicago and teaching high school English near the West Side, Christian loves finding fishing spots all over Illinois and Wisconsin. With his years of teaching experience and passion for fly fishing, he is ready to jump into the role of mentor for the Driftless Region Mayfly Project!
