Richard G. Robben 4/7/1951 – 12/19/2022
Ric (Richard} Robben loved fishing from the time he was very small, using a cane pole with his grandfather. Throughout his life, working with Scouts and other young people, he instilled a love for the sport. When he first heard about the Mayfly Project, his eyes lit up. He knew he wanted to be a part of the program as a mentor. Cancer had a different plan. Nothing would make him happier than knowing gifts in his honor were helping the project succeed. He loved Bennett Spring, rising trout, and young people enjoying its beauty.
The Mayfly Project is a national non-profit that is changing the lives of children in foster care across the country. Our mission is to mentor children in foster care via the sport of fly fishing, and provide opportunities for children in foster care to have fun, build self-esteem, and develop a meaningful connection with the outdoors.
